One year, 16 pounds and 11 inches later, my teeny tiny baby is now a toddler. A toddler!
I am so proud of Harry. From being born a month early and enduring a nearly week-long NICU stay to now walking, crawling, smiling and laughing.
While we won't be having an official birthday party, we are planning a fun day for Harry. This morning is his first music class and we're going to take him out to lunch afterwards to celebrate. It'll be his first real meal at a restaurant. I think I'll also pick up a few cupcakes at a local bakery for him so we can sing Happy Birthday to him at dinner. I'm also excited to see how he'll react to opening presents. Not sure if he'll quite get the concept yet.
We did the cake smash this past weekend. I'm really pleased with the pictures, even if Harry hardly touched his cake. I'll be doing a post on how to do a DIY cake smash soon.
So, happy birthday baby boy. I love you more than you'll ever know. It's hard to believe we've only known each other for one short year when I can't imagine what the world would be without you. You are the light of my life and amaze me more and more each day. The bond we have is special and is not something I take for granted. Quite simply, you rock and I am honored to be your mother.
