A Conversation with My Son

Me: Hi, Harry!
Harry: Dada
Me: Mama loves you a whole lot.
Harry: Dada
Me: Can you say 'mama'?
Harry: Ahda
Me: Closer! Can you try again? Mama, mama, mama.
Harry: Dada
Me: Ugh, I give up.
Harry: Dada

I know dada is easier for babies to say, but come on! He has said mama a few times in the past, but it is not one of his usual "words." Aside from dada, he says baba, gaga, ahda, ahgoo, yaya, and maybe one or two more that I can't think of right now.

In other news... I feel like it's been forever since I wrote a blog post, even though it's just been a few days. We had planned on going out to Japan 77 for dinner on Friday night (we bought a Groupon recently) but it was raining off and on so we just got takeout from Bulldog's.

Saturday morning I slept in (yay!) and after lunch we went to Buy Buy Baby to get Harry some shoes. No such luck. Harry scrunches his toes up when we try to put shoes on so we need an easy slip-on pair. We were looking for Robeez, which according to the website are sold at BBB, and couldn't find any. They look like they'd be pretty easy to put on compared to the other shoes we've tried. Or, we could just find a baby shoehorn and cal it a day ;).

After BBB we stopped by the Bloomingdale Septemberfest. We walked around a bit and then picked up some GiaVia cupcakes and found a park bench and enjoyed the beautiful weather.

Sunday was spent watching football and cleaning. Here are a few random pictures from the weekend.

  1. My daughter can say momma but since being in daycare would rather call me "heidi" which is her teachers name lol
