Since we don't have our own washer and dryer I decided to prep them by hand. We walked over to Ace Hardware this morning and bought a big bucket and plunger to create a makeshift washing "machine." We only have five diapers right now (seven more are on their way!), and it took me a little over a half hour to clean them. Because the diapers are brand new it took me less time than when I'll have to wash the soiled ones. Or so I'm guessing. I used a free sample of Rockin Green detergent I got for placing an order with Sweet Bottoms (PSA- I love that store! Super fast and free shipping. And my package was gift wrapped with a handwritten, personalized thank you note!). I followed this tutorial on how to hand launder them.
3 FuzziBunz, 2 Kawaii and 8 inserts |
It's raining here today so I couldn't put them outside to dry. I will when I can, though. They should be dry by tonight and I'll put him in his first cloth diaper tomorrow. Gosh, I really hope these work for us!
They're nice until they poop. :P I love how soft the FuzziBunz inserts are. I have bumGenius, FuzziBunz & Sunbaby and the FuzziBunz are the softest, by far!
ReplyDeleteI really want to try Sun Babys! You can't go wrong with their prices!
DeleteVery cool! I love the trimness of our fuzzibums and love everything about our Kawaii baby diapers. I hope it works out for you guys as well :)
