DIY Save The Dates

I mentioned a while back that I was working on some Save the Date cards for a friend of mine from college. I wanted to wait until she sent them out to post a picture, and here they are!

Love the color scheme they picked out!

I think they turned out awesome, if I do say so myself ;). I used my Cricut and the Calligraphy Collection cartridge to cut out the banners and numbers. That cartridge is so versatile, probably one of the ones I've used the most! The thread is just cream embroidery floss and I used pop dots to adhere them to the card.

I really prefer Save the Date cards that don't have pictures on them. Everyone you're inviting already knows what you look like! One picture can look nice, but more than that is definitely overkill, in my opinion anyways.

Thanks for thinking of me for your Save the Dates, Amy and Shannon!
