Sleeping through the night. Four little words new parents can't wait to add to their vocabulary. We have been very blessed and were able to say that Harry started STTN around four weeks old. Seriously! He doesn't do it every night, but at eight weeks old, he's pretty consistent with it.
His last bottle of the day is anywhere from 11:30pm to 1am. After we're done I take him in our room, wrap him in a Swaddle Me or sleep sack and put him down in the pack n' play (he sleeps in his crib in the nursery two nights a week). I turn on his sound machine and some nights he is out in ten minutes, other nights it takes a bit longer. And on occasion he needs a paci to soothe himself to sleep.
So Harry typically falls asleep by 1:30am. And he always sleeps until at least 7am, but usually it's closer to 8-9am. Not too shabby!
I'm thinking in the next month or so I will start putting him to bed a bit earlier to see if he won't sleep longer. Also, I need to start transitioning him to the crib full time, he does well the nights he sleeps in there so it shouldn't be too hard. The only reason I haven't done it full time yet is because we don't have a baby monitor. I'm thinking of getting this inexpensive one from Amazon.
Oh, and in reference to my post from this morning, Harry decided to calm down for good around 3:30am, and did in fact sleep until exactly 10am, over six hours of sleep :).
And here is your daily dose of cuteness, taken on New Years Eve.
